EFFECTIVENESS OF NORDIC WALKING ON PULMONARY FUNCTION, FUNCTIONAL OUTCOME AND QUALITY OF LIFE AMONG COPD INDIVIDUALS
Description
This dataset contains the research data collected for a study investigating the effectiveness of Nordic Walking on pulmonary function, functional outcome, and quality of life among individuals diagnosed with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). The study aimed to evaluate the effect of a structured Nordic Walking training program on pulmonary function, functional capacity, and quality of life. The dataset includes demographic characteristics of participants, baseline and post-intervention measurements of pulmonary function parameters, functional outcome assessments, and quality of life scores. Pulmonary function was assessed using spirometric variables such as Forced Expiratory Volume in one second (FEV₁), Forced Vital Capacity (FVC), and FEV₁/FVC ratio. Functional outcome measures include6MWT, while quality of life was evaluated using validatED CAT. Data were collected before and after the intervention period and have been anonymized to protect participant confidentiality. The dataset may be used for academic research, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and educational purposes related to pulmonary rehabilitation and COPD management.

Steps to reproduce
Data were collected from individuals with COPD undergoing a Nordic Walking intervention. Pulmonary function (FEV1, FVC, FEV1/FVC), exercise capacity (6MWT), and quality of life (CAT) were assessed before and after intervention. Data were analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics Version 26 following standardized assessment protocols and appropriate statistical procedures.
