Description

This dataset contains daily predawn stem water potential (Ψp) and soil water potential (Ψsoil) data collected from drip-irrigated apple trees (Malus domestica Borkh.) under three irrigation regimes: fully irrigated (NS), moderately water-deficient (MS), and severely water-deficient (SS). The experiment was conducted at the Fruit Tree Research Institute of Shanxi Agricultural University, Shanxi Province, China (112°32′E, 37°23′N, 781.9 m a.s.l.) during the 2023 and 2024 growing seasons (May–October). Data description: Data_S1.xlsx: Daily Ψp and Ψsoil values for each treatment. Columns include Date, Ψp (MPa), and Ψsoil (MPa). Code_S1.py: Python script for segmented regression analysis (Muggeo, 2003), including breakpoint estimation, Davies' test, bootstrap resampling (1000 times) for 95% confidence intervals.
