Description

This study delves into the aerodynamic and mechanical performance of a novel Double-Rotor Wind Turbine (DRWT) system, contrasting it with a geometrically equivalent Single-Rotor Wind Turbine (SS-SRWT). The research employs Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Fluid-Structure Interaction (FSI) simulations to assess the turbines' performance under varying wind conditions.

Files

Steps to reproduce

1. Software Environment To ensure compatibility and reproduce the results accurately, the following software environment is highly recommended: Simulation Platform: ANSYS Workbench (Version 2025 R1/R2) CFD Solver: ANSYS Fluent Structural Solver: ANSYS Mechanical (Transient Structural) Compiler: Visual Studio 2019/2022 (Required for compiling UDFs in Fluent) 2. File Directory Description *.mechdat : Transient structral files containing the initialized flow field or intermediate calculation results. *.msh: Standalone mesh files for the fluid and structural domains. Geometry/: Contains the 3D CAD models (e.g., .step or .x_t). UDF/: Contains the C-source codes (.c) for the Six-DOF motion and the stochastic wind velocity profile.
