Steps to reproduce

Identify packaged food products available in the Indian retail market across multiple food categories. Collect nutritional information from product packaging labels and manufacturer websites, including ingredients, serving size, energy, macronutrients, micronutrients, and other nutrition facts. Record product metadata such as product name, brand, category, sub-category, price, and source of information. Verify the collected information by cross-checking with the official product labels or manufacturer websites wherever available. Standardize the collected data into a tabular format using consistent units (e.g., grams, milligrams, kilocalories) and uniform column names. Perform data cleaning to remove duplicate records, correct typographical errors, standardize category names, and handle missing values where applicable. Export the final curated dataset in CSV format (packaged_foods_india.csv) encoded in UTF-8 for reproducibility and further analysis.
