Combine effect of Russian Current and Strengthening Exercise in Patient with Text Neck Syndrome

Based on the shared dataset (n = 48), the gender distribution was almost equal between male and female participants. Among the total participants, 25 (52.1%) were females and 23 (47.9%) were males, indicating a balanced representation of both genders in the study population. The pie chart demonstrates a slight predominance of female participants over males; however, the difference was minimal, suggesting that the sample was not substantially skewed toward either gender. The near-equal gender distribution strengthens the representativeness of the study and minimizes the potential influence of gender-related bias on the findings. Such a balanced sample allows for a more reliable assessment of the effectiveness of the intervention across both sexes and enhances the generalizability of the results to the broader population of individuals with Text Neck Syndrome. The observed female predominance is consistent with previous literature reporting a higher prevalence of neck pain and postural disorders among females. Several factors have been proposed to explain this trend, including differences in cervical muscle strength, postural habits, pain perception, hormonal influences, and patterns of smartphone usage. Nevertheless, the proportion of males in the present study was also substantial, ensuring adequate representation of both genders. Overall, the gender distribution indicates that the study sample was well balanced, with females constituting 52.1%and males 47.9%of the total participants. This distribution provides a suitable demographic foundation for evaluating the effects of Russian Current combined with strengthening exercises on pain, disability, quality of life, and deep cervical flexor endurance in individuals with Text Neck Syndrome.

Steps to reproduce
This dataset was generated from a single-blinded randomized controlled trial evaluating the effectiveness of Russian Current combined with strengthening exercises in individuals with Text Neck Syndrome. A total of 48 participants aged 18–30 years who met the predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria were recruited and provided written informed consent before participation. Baseline demographic data, including age, gender, height, weight, and body mass index (BMI), were recorded. Initial assessments were conducted using the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) for pain intensity, Neck Disability Index (NDI) for functional disability, Short Form-36 (SF-36) for quality of life, and Pressure Biofeedback Unit (PBU) for deep cervical flexor endurance. Participants were randomly allocated into two groups. Group A received Russian Current therapy combined with strengthening exercises, whereas Group B received sham electrical stimulation with the same exercise program. Treatment was administered three times per week for four weeks (12 sessions). The exercise program included chin tuck exercises, isometric neck flexion, isometric neck extension, side neck isometrics, shoulder shrug exercises, and prone neck extension exercises. Following completion of the intervention, all outcome measures were reassessed. Data were entered into SPSS software and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Normality testing, within-group comparisons, and between-group analyses were performed to evaluate the effects of the intervention on pain, disability, quality of life, and deep cervical flexor endurance.
