Description

The study aimed to develop and validate an Online Media for Avoidance Coping Scale (OMACS) that measures the tendency to use online media as an avoidance/escape coping strategy against stress. A sample of 579 participants aged 17-35 years completed the to-be-developed scale as well as measures of disengagement coping, mental health, internet addiction, emotion regulation, need for cognition and social desirability.
