Description
This dataset contains urban, environmental, and social information collected through fieldwork conducted by students of Urbanismo III during the January–April 2026 academic term. The study focused on selected neighborhoods in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic, using a qualitative–descriptive urban analysis approach to evaluate neighborhood habitability conditions. The dataset is structured around six analytical dimensions: D1. Urban Morphology D2. Mobility and Accessibility D3. Public Space and Urban Equipment D4. Housing and Building Conditions D5. Environmental Conditions D6. Social Perception and Neighborhood Satisfaction Data collection included: - Direct observation - Urban mapping - Photographic documentation The dataset contains information related to land use, road conditions, pedestrian accessibility, public space quality, vegetation, environmental risks, housing conditions, perceived security, and neighborhood satisfaction. This dataset contributes to urban observatory initiatives and supports future research on urban sustainability, urban habitability, and territorial planning in intermediate Caribbean cities.

Steps to reproduce
The dataset was developed using a qualitative-descriptive urban analysis methodology. Students conducted urban fieldwork in selected neighborhoods of Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic. The methodological process included: Neighborhood delimitation Variable and indicator definition Direct urban observation Photographic documentation Structured field sheets Each group evaluated specific urban sectors using a standardized matrix of variables and indicators. Data were systematized in structured spreadsheets and normalized for comparative urban analysis and habitability assessment.
