Research data for 'Long-term cessation of grazing reduces net carbon uptake in northern grassland and heathland'

Description

This dataset contains (1) the data (.csv files), (2) analysis script for R software environment (R 4.3.3 on Ubuntu 24.04) and (3) a documentation (.yml file) of the version control of all software packages used in the R script to reproduce the results of the paper, this dataset is linked to.

Steps to reproduce

CO2 fluxes were measured with mobile chamber and infrared gas analyser on permanent plots during variable daytime hours in grazed (G) and ungrazed (P) land. A glossary of all terms within the datafiles is provided in the R script. A detailed description of site locations and sampling approach is provided in the connected paper and supplemental material.
