Description

The purpose of this dataset is to provide the statistics to compute Okun’s misery index for both the Republic of Chad and the Republic of Zimbabwe. We have utilized the unemployment rate reported by The World Bank, and the inflation rate, average consumer prices (Annual percent change) reported by the International Monetary Fund.

The method employed to estimate Okun’s misery index consisted in calculating the unweighted sum of both the unemployment and inflation rates.
