TMT-PD: An Eye Movement Dataset of Trail Making Test Performance in Parkinson's Disease

TMT-PD is an event-level eye movement dataset acquired from individuals with Parkinson's disease (PD) and age-matched healthy controls (HC) during the performance of Trail Making Test (TMT) paradigms. Eye movements were recorded using a SensoMotoric Instruments (SMI) iView X Hi-Speed eye tracker operating at a sampling frequency of 1,250 Hz with a spatial accuracy of 0.5° of visual angle. The dataset comprises recordings from 40 participants, including 28 individuals with Parkinson's disease and 12 healthy controls. Participants performed three Trail Making Test paradigms: TMT-A, TMT-B, and TMT-C, designed to assess visual search, attention, processing speed, and executive function. Eye movements were acquired under controlled laboratory conditions using a 22-inch display monitor (1920 × 1080 pixels) at an approximate viewing distance of 60 cm. A five-point calibration procedure was performed prior to each recording session to ensure accurate gaze estimation. The released dataset is provided in Microsoft Excel (.xlsx) format and contains event-level eye movement information, including fixation, saccade, and blink events, together with temporal, spatial, pupil-related, and tracking quality measurements generated by the SMI software environment. The dataset supports research in eye movement analysis, visual cognition, neurodegenerative disorders, computational neuroscience, and machine learning.
