Description

This dataset accompanies the article Posthuman Rhythms in Popular Culture: Body, Technology, and Transformation in Turkish Oi! Music. It includes de-identified participant demographics (R01–R18), a thematic codebook, templates for figure data, and the semi-structured interview guide. Sensitive materials such as full transcripts and audio recordings are not shared due to ethical restrictions. The package provides transparent documentation of the study’s methodology and analytic framework, supporting further qualitative and cultural research on youth subcultures, music, and posthuman theory.

Steps to reproduce

Download and unzip the dataset. Read the README.md file for details on file structure, variable definitions, and ethical guidance. Open dataset/participants_demographics.csv and codebook/codebook.csv in a qualitative analysis tool such as NVivo, Atlas.ti, or RQDA to examine participant characteristics and thematic codes. Use the instruments/interview_guide.md to understand the interview protocol. To recreate figures, fill in the figure_data CSV templates with the coded intensity scores or counts derived from your analysis of the interviews. Because full transcripts and audio recordings are not shared for privacy reasons, exact reproduction of all quotations is not possible, but the provided data and codebook enable transparent verification of methods and key thematic findings.
