Description

The uploaded file "Data5062all100percentComplete.xlsx" contains 5,062 rows (one per respondent) and 98 columns, consisting of complete responses retained after filtering the original cross-cultural EAI-3 survey to 100% completers. The columns include Qualtrics metadata (start/end timestamps, IP address, progress, total completion time in seconds, response ID, geolocation, user language), 18 sociodemographic items (SD1–SD16 plus Q27 and Q28), four COVID-related items (C19_1–C19_6_1), and the item-level responses for five validated psychometric scales: the Exercise Addiction Inventory-3 (EAIR_M_1–9), the Exercise Dependence Scale-Revised (EDSR_M_1–21), the SCOFF eating-disorder screen (SCOFF_M_1–5), the Obsessive-Compulsive Inventory-Revised (OCI_M_1–18), and the Ten-Item Personality Inventory (Q96_1–10). The final column, The "10secondby86Q", is a binary classification variable flagging respondents at the 10 s/item response-time cutoff (3,491 coded as fast, 1,571 as adequate).

Steps to reproduce

Recruit physically active adults internationally through social media and snowball sampling, directing them to a Qualtrics online survey made available in 13 languages (Chinese, Danish, English, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Turkish, Ukrainian) that opens with an electronic informed-consent form approved by an institutional psychology research ethics board (as in Granziol et al., 2023; see the associated link). Administer the same 86-item battery to every respondent — sociodemographic questions (SD1–SD16, Q27, Q28), four COVID-context items, and five validated psychometric scales in a fixed order: Exercise Addiction Inventory-3 (9 items, 1–6 Likert), Exercise Dependence Scale-Revised (21 items, 1–6), SCOFF (5 yes/no items), Obsessive-Compulsive Inventory-Revised (18 items, 0–4), and the Ten-Item Personality Inventory (10 items, 1–7) — while Qualtrics automatically records total completion time, timestamps, IP address, geolocation, and language. Export the raw data, retain only respondents with 100% completion (yielding N = 5,062 across 54 countries), and save the resulting file as the Excel workbook used in this analysis.
