Repository Description – Wind Resource Assessment This repository contains the data and results associated with a study focused on the evaluation of wind energy potential. It includes both raw and processed datasets, as well as the outputs from spatial and statistical analyses performed throughout the research. The data used to calculate the relevant variables were obtained from publicly available sources and processed using tools such as Google Earth Engine and Python. In addition to the original data sources (referenced in the Appendix), the repository offers maps, vector layers, and other geospatial outputs that visualize the results of the assessment across the study area. The repository also includes documentation of the methodology applied, from the selection and filtering of suitable areas to the final evaluation of wind farm locations. These materials are intended to support transparency, reproducibility, and further research in wind resource assessment.

Steps to reproduce
This repository contains all the data and results associated with the wind resource assessment study. Data availability The data for the compilation of the variables can be downloaded free of charge from the links to different repositories and the GEE interface listed in archive Appendix_A.txt. Post-processed results (from intermediate and final steps) and analyses can be downloaded free of charge from this Mendey Data repository. The -Individual Rasters- folder contains a vectorised map of the filtered area as viable and the rasters of all calculated variables with their values at each point of the analysed area. In addition, a vectorised map is provided where distance restrictions between cities and land use are minimal, used in the methodology validation section. It can be opened with any geo-data software. The -Python Analysis- folder contains the points sampled in the feasible area and their analysis through the Python software. The -Results- folder contains the raster maps that emerge with the proposed method (partial and final) and the location through a vector file of the location of the analysed wind farms. It can be opened with any geo-data software.
