Description

Supplemental data for an article published in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology. Conventional light microscopy is widely used for Demodex detection but may underestimate mite burden, especially for deep-seated mites and semi-transparent eggs. This study compared 0.9% saline-based fluorescence microscopy with standard 10% KOH light microscopy for Demodex quantification. This dataset contains representative microscopy images supporting the comparative visualization and quantitative findings of the study, and is provided to facilitate methodological transparency and reproducibility.
