This dataset supports the study “Evaluating AI-Generated Interface Candidates Before Prototyping: Perceptual Validation, Processing Experience, and Advancement Judgments.” It contains three anonymized data files: Phase 2 independent candidate-validation data, Phase 3 preference-selection and post-choice aesthetic evaluation data, and Phase 4 repeated pre-prototype screening data and associated model outputs. No personally identifiable information is included.

Steps to reproduce
Download Supplementary Data 1–3 and follow the variable definitions, scoring rules, and analysis specifications provided in the manuscript and Supplementary Appendix A–G. Supplementary Data 1 contains the Phase 2 candidate-validation records and derived candidate profiles. Supplementary Data 2 contains the Phase 3 preference-selection and post-choice aesthetic data. Supplementary Data 3 contains the Phase 4 repeated-screening data, derived predictors, model summaries, diagnostics, and sensitivity analyses. The corresponding analyses can be reproduced by applying the reported scoring procedures, candidate-level aggregation rules, FDR correction, and mixed-effects model specifications to these datasets. No rounding or retrospective reconstruction of the archived Phase 4 item-level values should be applied.
