Description

We present a data set of pyrite, total organic carbon (TOC), total sulfur (TS), and trace elements (Sr and Ba), to constrain the depositional evolution in the unsteady inner shelf of the East China Sea since the late Pleistocene. Our results show TOC/TS ratios could indicate the transition from terrestrial to the marine environment at 13.1 ka. And abundant pyrite aggrets suggest that the mud depocenter was initially developed at 7.5 ka when sea level reached its highstand.
