Description

Supporting experimental and processed data for a single-cylinder CRDI-VCR compression-ignition engine investigation of castor biodiesel–diesel blends. The dataset includes engine performance and exhaust-emission data, Taguchi signal-to-noise and Grey relational analysis workbooks, B30-L50 repeatability acquisitions, crank-angle-resolved B30 combustion workbooks at 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% load, and supporting EngineSoft run files. The study used a 5 × 5 blend-load experimental design and sequential Taguchi-GRA and response-surface optimization with experimental validation.

Steps to reproduce

Use the primary experimental workbook to identify the blend-load conditions and response values. Use the Taguchi/GRA processed workbooks to trace S/N normalization, grey relational coefficients, grey relational grades and rankings. Use the B30-L50 files for the short-term repeatability assessment and the four B30 combustion workbooks for cylinder-pressure, heat-release and combustion-phasing analysis. The associated manuscript provides the equations, optimization criteria, statistical assumptions and RSM validation procedure.
