Andrea NovelliDescription
This dataset includes measurements of relative telomere length (RTL), body mass, sex, brood size, hatching date, and corticosterone levels in barn swallow nestlings sampled at 5 and 15 days of age. Corticosterone was measured during a standardized handling-restraint protocol at age 15 days at 3 different time points (T0 = baseline corticosterone; T20 = acute stress-induced corticosterone; T30: corticosterone 10 min after handling-induced stress). These data can be used to investigate how developmental conditions and corticosterone responses are related to telomere length and dynamics in a wild bird species.
