Description

This Excel spreadsheet compiles all individual crushing-step measurements performed on Fani Maoré lava fragments for the determination of He, Ne, and Ar isotopic compositions and elemental abundances. All gas quantities are reported in cc STP (20°C, 1 bar).

Steps to reproduce

All relevant information is presented in the supplementary information associated with the manuscript and briefly summarized here. Rock fragments were loaded into a stainless-steel crusher, baked under ultra-high vacuum (100–150 °C, ≥1 day), and crushed in multiple steps to release trapped gases. Released gases were purified through two Ti-getters (at 1073 K then room temperature) to remove reactive species. Noble gases were then sequentially trapped and released using two cryogenic traps (stainless-steel trap at 40 K to retain Ar, Kr, and Xe; activated charcoal trap at 7 K to retain He and Ne) and measured in sequence: He (charcoal trap heated to 35 K), Ne (65 K), and Ar (charcoal trap at 220 K, after transfer from the steel trap at 60 K). Standards and blanks were processed identically to samples.
