Description

This dataset contains the computational files, geometric models, mesh configurations, simulation parameters, and numerical results associated with the study entitled "Application of Computational Fluid Dynamics to an Auxiliary Ventilation System for Dust Control in an Underground Mine". The research evaluates the aerodynamic performance of an auxiliary push-pull ventilation system using CFD simulations developed with the open-source software ecosystem SALOME and OpenFOAM (BlueCFD). The dataset includes information used to analyze airflow distribution, static pressure gradients, and respirable dust dispersion within an underground mining development. These files are provided to support transparency, reproducibility, and future research in underground mine ventilation and occupational health.

Files

Steps to reproduce

1.-Reate the three-dimensional geometry in SALOME. 2.-Generate the computational mesh. 3.-Export the mesh to OpenFOAM/BlueCFD. 4.-Define boundary conditions and turbulence model (k-epsilon). 5.-Run the CFD simulation. 6.-Post-process the results using ParaView. 7.-Analyze airflow velocity, pressure gradients, and dust dispersion.
