The file contains the data and code used in the paper. Data on industrial robots are sourced from the IFR, while company-level financial data are obtained from the CSMAR, WIND, and CNRDS databases. City-level data are derived from the China Urban Statistical Yearbook. Chinese manufacturing data come from the China Industrial Statistical Yearbook, and US manufacturing-level data are sourced from the NBER-CES. Manufacturing-level data for the importing country are collected from the World Import and Export Database (WIOD).
