Description

This dataset contains the field-satellite matchup data used in the study “Evaluation of minimal local recalibration for reducing transfer error in Sentinel-2 chlorophyll a estimation across heterogeneous waterbodies”. It includes waterbody identifiers, sampling and Sentinel-2 acquisition dates, pelagic reference point coordinates, laboratory-measured chlorophyll-a concentrations, auxiliary water-quality variables, extracted Sentinel-2 reflectance values, and calculated spectral indices used in the modelling workflow.

Full methodological details, including field sampling, laboratory analyses, Sentinel-2 data extraction, spectral index calculation, model development, leave-one-waterbody-out validation, and local offset recalibration, are described in the associated manuscript.
