DIC and FF HEDM CRSS-Hydrostatic Stress Dataset for Polycrystalline Nickel
Description
Please read the following manuscript for the appropriate background on the datasets. The manuscript title and publication is: Marco Zambolin, Leonidas Zisis, Sven E. Gustafson, et al, Grain-level plasticity response of pure Nickel based on the presence of hydrogen charging, Materials Characterization, 2025. This repository presents the data for the DIC, Hydrostatic Stress and CRSS analysis described in the related paper. The DIC data is organized in five different .csv file (one for each specimen, with the hydrogen concentration indicated in the file name), with the value for both the stress and strain retrieved performing DIC during the experiment. The CRSS and Hydrostatic grain level stress data is gathered in one excel (.xlsx) file with four different sheets: "Hydrostatic Stress Unloaded", "Hydrostatic Stress Loaded". "CRSS Data", "Load Cell Data". This represent respectively, the grain level hydrostatic stress at the unloaded condition, the grain level hydrostatic stress at the loaded condition (applied microscopic stress of 150 MPa), the critical resolved shear stress at all loaded states for all HEDM layers, the load cell readings from the experiment representing the macroscopic stress applied to the specimen (specimen cross section of 1mm). Each sheet in the excel file presents five different columns representing the five different specimens that have been tested during the experiment.
