Disdrometer and WRF model output data for "Do Double-Moment Microphysics Schemes Make Reliable Predictions on the Raindrop Number Concentration?: A Squall-Line Case Study"
These files are the data of disdrometer observation and WRF model simulations in the study entitled "Do Double-Moment Microphysics Schemes Make Reliable Predictions on the Raindrop Number Concentration?: A Squall-Line Case Study", which is currently (December 2022) submitted to Journal of Geophysical Research: Atmospheres. The file "rainrate_moments.nc" contains the rain rate and raindrop size distribution (RSD) moments at the disdrometer site in the disdrometer observation and seven WRF simulations. The files "hydrometeors.nc" and "microphysics.nc" contain the hydrometeor mass mixing ratios and number concentrations and the microphysical process rates above the disdrometer site in the seven WRF simulations. The time period of the data is 0530-0930 LST (UTC + 9 h) 8 November 2021, the analysis period of this study. The scheme indices from 0 to 6 indicate the Thompson, Thom_aero, WDM6, Morrison, P3, P3_Nc, and ISHMAEL schemes, respectively, which are described in detail in this study.
