To ensure comparability among ecosystems, soil depth intervals were harmonized into four common intervals: 0–10, 10–30, 30–50, and 50–100 cm. OIF was originally sampled using these four intervals and was retained without conversion. For DAS, DNS, and ORF, which were originally sampled at six intervals, the 0–10 cm layer was retained directly, whereas deeper intervals were converted by thickness-weighted aggregation of the corresponding original layers. Profile-averaged values of SIC and soil properties were calculated as thickness-weighted means across the 0–100 cm profile.
