Description

The dataset was acquired at Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology. The sampling rate was 20480 Hz and the sensitivity of the proximity probes was 7.87 V/mm, both arranged at 90 degrees (X and Y). The accelerometer's sensitivity was 100 mV/g. The data was acquired in 2 stages, wherein 3 crack depths were acquired at two nominal rotational speeds of 1500 and 2000 rpm with minor speed fluctuation. The diameter of the shaft was 10 mm and the crack depths were 2 mm, 3 mm, and 4 mm, all induced artificially. Baseline healthy dataset is also provided. The .mat files are named accordingly as 'rpm_crackdepth_samplingfreq.mat' and have 5 columns. Column 1: Time Column 2: Acceleration (g) Column 3: X-deflection (V) Column 4: Y-deflection (V) Column 5: RPM
