Description

This study will employ a descriptive research design to examine the relationship between e- governance and citizen trust. The descriptive approach is appropriate because it enables the researcher to systematically gather, analyze, and interpret data regarding citizens' perceptions of transparency, service quality, privacy, and security in e-governance systems. Through this design, the study aims to provide an accurate description of how these factors influence citizens' trust in digital government services without manipulating any variables. The findings will help identify patterns, trends, and relationships that contribute to a better understanding of citizen trust in e- governance.

The data for this study will be collected using a quantitative research approach through a structured survey questionnaire. The questionnaire will be developed based on relevant literature and studies on e-governance and citizen trust, focusing on the variables of transparency, service quality, privacy, security, and citizen trust. Prior to distribution, the instrument will undergo validation to ensure its reliability and appropriateness for the study. The respondents will consist of citizens who actively utilize e-government services, selected through an appropriate sampling technique. The survey will be administered either online through Google Forms or through printed questionnaires, depending on the accessibility of the target participants. Participation will be voluntary, and respondents will be assured that their answers will remain confidential and will be used solely for academic purposes. After the collection of responses, the data will be organized, encoded, and analyzed using Microsoft Excel and IBM SPSS Statistics. Frequency distribution and percentage will be employed to describe the demographic profile of the respondents, while the mean will be used to determine their perceptions regarding transparency, service quality, privacy, security, and citizen trust. Correlation analysis will then be conducted to examine the relationship between the identified e-governance factors and citizen trust. By following this systematic procedure, the study ensures the accuracy, reliability, and reproducibility of the research process, allowing future researchers to replicate the methodology in similar contexts.
