Description

This file includes the results of ship energy system simulations (as a function of ship speed) in development project CHEK cruise ship. Project CHEK was an EU-funded joint-industry development project between years 2021-2024 and it focused on decarbonisation of long distance shipping with various technologies and alternative fuels. In the cruise ship case the future fuel studied was hydrogen. The context of this dataset is presented in an article "Holistic view to decarbonising cruise ships with a combination of energy saving technologies and hydrogen as fuel".

Steps to reproduce

The dataset is a result collection, when a ship system levle energy simulation model is run through a "speed sweep"= by constantly increasing ship speed in the energy model. This way of presenting does not allow showing the impact of batteries, but the other technologies studied are included. The simulations were performed with Simulink with Deltamarin's energy model configured for this specific research project. It represents conceptual ship design values.
