Surface pollen data in mangrove forest in substropical China

Description

Eight representative sites were selected to capture gradients in community composition, tidal influence, and anthropogenic pressure in the Leizhou Peninsula mangrove wetlands during July-August 2016. Those areas included Guanhaichanglang, Techengdao, Donghaidao, Fucheng, Qishui, He’an, Nanshan, and Gaoqiao. A total of 36 surface soil samples were collected following a stratified random design (3-6 samples per site). Sampling employed the plum blossom pattern.
