Description

This dataset contains source data supporting the study entitled “Curcumin attenuates chronic heat stress-induced cardiac injury in Siberian sturgeon (Acipenser baerii): mechanisms of oxidative stress, mitochondrial dysfunction and metabolic reprogramming”. The deposited data include survival and mortality records, serum biochemical markers, cardiac antioxidant indices, flow-cytometric measurements, fluorescence-based ROS and TUNEL quantification, mitochondrial membrane potential, cardiac ATP content, Ca2+/Mg2+-ATPase activity, qRT-PCR mean Ct values and normalized relative expression data, and western blot source data. qRT-PCR data comprise five independent biological samples per group (C, HC and HM), with each reported Ct/Cq value representing the mean of three technical replicates. Experimental groups: C, control group; HC, chronic heat-stress group; HM, chronic heat-stress group supplemented with dietary curcumin.

Steps to reproduce

Source data were collected from the experimental groups C, HC and HM as described in the associated manuscript. qRT-PCR relative expression was calculated using the 2^-ΔΔCt method with β-actin as the reference gene. Other quantitative data were obtained from the corresponding biochemical, flow-cytometric, fluorescence and western blot assays described in the manuscript. The deposited files contain the source values used for the reported analyses.
