Questionnaire and site-acoustic data on secondary-school teachers' responses to school sound sources

Description

This dataset accompanies a cross-sectional questionnaire study of how secondary-school teachers respond to school sound sources. It contains complete, anonymised responses from all 148 teachers at one secondary school in Fushun, China, together with representative site-acoustic measurements. Each teacher rated eleven school sound-source categories on four dimensions (audibility, annoyance, and interference with teaching and with office concentration) and reported noise sensitivity, voice strain, voice raising, amplification-device use, self-reported fatigue, emotional distress and perceived noisiness. A single Excel workbook provides the raw item-level responses, the analysis-ready scored variables used in the manuscript, objective measurements of background noise, reverberation, sound insulation and occupied levels for typical classrooms and an office, and full variable dictionaries in English and Chinese. No personal identifiers are included: teacher_id is an arbitrary key and the school is not named. The data support reuse in school acoustics, teacher occupational health and soundscape research.
