Description

This dataset consists of images designed for training and evaluating models for American Sign Language (ASL) recognition and translation. It appears to be structured for a classification task where each class corresponds to a different ASL sign. šŸ” Dataset Structure: The root directory contains a folder named data/, which includes subdirectories labeled numerically (e.g., 0, 1, 2, ...). Each subdirectory represents a distinct ASL sign or label class. Inside each class folder are multiple image files (e.g., 0.jpg, 1.jpg, ..., N.jpg) showing hand gestures corresponding to that specific ASL sign. šŸ–¼ļø Image Information: Format: JPEG Dimensions: 640 Ɨ 480 pixels Color Mode: RGB šŸ“¦ Possible Use Cases: Sign language recognition Real-time ASL translation Gesture classification Deep learning model training (CNNs, transfer learning, etc.) 🧠 Recommended Applications: Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) Data augmentation techniques (flipping, rotation, etc.) Transfer learning with pretrained vision models (e.g., ResNet, MobileNet)
