Dataset for "Campaign Rallies and Voter Turnout: The Role of Electoral Competitiveness"

Description

This dataset contains county-level panel data from U.S. presidential election years 2000 to 2016. It was constructed to study the relationship between political campaign rallies and voter turnout, as analyzed in the manuscript "Campaign Rallies and Voter Turnout: The Role of Electoral Competitiveness". Please refer to the Appendix of the paper for the full list of variables, definitions, and data sources.
