High-Frequency Indoor–Outdoor Rural Microclimate Dataset for Short-Term Forecasting in Montería, Colombia, 2024
Description
This dataset contains high-frequency indoor–outdoor rural microclimate records collected during 2024 in Santa Elena III, Montería, Córdoba, Colombia. The dataset includes 105,408 timestamped observations sampled at 10-minute intervals from two monitoring stations: one outdoor station (EMM-Externa) and one indoor station (EMM-Interna). Each station contributes 52,704 records, corresponding to a complete leap year with 366 days and 144 observations per day. The dataset includes temporal, spatial, environmental, and operational variables: timestamp, location, station identifier, temperature (°C), relative humidity (%), UV index, solar radiation (W/m²), rainfall accumulated per 10-minute interval (mm/10 min), battery voltage (V), site description, and sampling frequency. The data are organized in a single worksheet named dataset_10min_2024, with one row per station and timestamp. The dataset was prepared to support rural microclimate characterization, indoor–outdoor environmental comparison, temporal quality control, short-term forecasting, feature engineering, and machine-learning experiments. It may also be used to evaluate feature-selection approaches, including classical and quantum-inspired optimization methods, provided that temporal validation and leakage-control procedures are properly applied. This dataset is site-specific and should be interpreted within the territorial and temporal boundaries of the monitoring context. It supports internal consistency analysis and computational modelling, but it does not include sensor calibration certificates, metrological uncertainty estimates, or external validation against official meteorological stations.
