This data contains 911entries from self-reported measures on seismic risk perceptions, attitudes towards disaster risk preparedness, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, earthquake preparedness intention, and behavioral change in case of a major earthquake in Bucharest, Romania. The study builds on the extended Theory of Planned Behaviour (TPB), indicating that risk beliefs are likely to shape normative beliefs, which in turn predict intentions and protection-oriented behaviors. Data was collected during May 2024 and May 2025. The main hypothesis was that subjective norm, amplified by risk perception, plays the most important mediating role in the intention to perform disaster preparedness behavior.
