Host Genetic Background Is Associated with Age-Dependent Cecal Microbial Ecology and Feed Efficiency in Commercial and Indigenous Chickens under Identical Nutrition
Description
The dataset represents summary statistics (mean ± SEM) of growth performance parameters derived from replicate pen-level measurements in Korat, Yellow White Tail (YWT), and commercial broiler chickens. Variables include body weight (BW), average daily gain (ADG), feed intake (FI), and feed conversion ratio (FCR), presented separately by breed and sex. The dataset also includes summary statistics of cecal microbial indices, including total lactic acid bacteria (LAB), opportunistic bacterial index (OBI), and LAB–OBI balance score across different ages (1–70 days). Microbial counts are expressed as log10 CFU/mL. These data were used to support statistical analyses performed using linear mixed-effects models in the associated study. Raw data are not available.
