Description

This dataset contains the chronological, sedimentological, organic geochemical, inorganic geochemical, and accumulation-rate data from the Lake Indio sediment core (LID), located in the upper Rio Negro Basin, northwestern Amazonia. The sediment record covers approximately the last 7,000 years and accompanies the manuscript “Climate-driven shifts in lake connectivity and carbon accumulation in the upper Rio Negro Basin evidenced by a multi-proxy record over the past 7,000 years.” The dataset includes ^210Pb and AMS ^14C chronology, Bayesian age-depth model outputs, sedimentation and mass accumulation rates, grain-size distributions, total organic carbon (TOC), total nitrogen (TN), C/N ratios, δ^13C and δ^15N, sedimentary chlorophyll derivatives (SPDU), elemental concentrations determined by X-ray fluorescence (XRF), and carbon and nitrogen accumulation rates.
