Steps to reproduce

Please read the "Readme.pdf" file in the root folder. In short, for the welfare analyses in sections 6--9, you need to run the codes in the "Matlab" folder in alphabetical order, via the MATLAB sofware on MS Windows, with a CUDA-enabled GPU card installed on your system. All tables and figures will be produced and saved in the "Matlab/Outputs" subfolder. To generate data facts in sections 2--3, you need to run the codes in the "Stata" folder via the STATA software. All related figures will be produced and saved in this "Stata" folder.
