Description

This pilot study evaluated patient-reported outcomes among 9 patients with hidradenitis suppurativa who used HidraWear. We compared pain, itch, odor, and disease impact before and during HidraWear use and described results by concurrent biologic therapy. Patients receiving biologics (n=7) reported improvements in pain, itch, odor, and disease impact, while the non-biologic group (n=2) was too small for meaningful comparison. Biologic users also reported longer HidraWear use and were more likely to recommend it. These findings suggest that HidraWear may improve symptoms, but concurrent biologic therapy may have contributed to the observed improvements. Given the small sample size, these results are descriptive and hypothesis-generating.
