This dataset comprises 155 discrete performance claims concerning the safety and economic benefits of Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships (MASS). A systematic literature review following PRISMA guidelines identified 67 peer-reviewed studies published between 2017 and 2026, each making one or more specific performance claims about MASS's safety and economic benefits across the IMO’s Degrees of Autonomy (DoA).
