Measured acoustic decay and clarity in two listening rooms
Description
This analysis-ready dataset documents acoustic measurements in two commercial listening rooms in Harbin, China. It contains metrics reconstructed from 130 deconvolved DIRAC impulse responses collected across four curtain-by-carpet conditions, two source positions and ten receivers, together with receiver- and condition-level aggregates, a 25-120 Hz wavelet decay layer built from the same impulse responses, source-receiver distances recovered from their arrival delays, Room 1 geometry and diagnostic modal calculations, a summary-only background-noise spectrum, and validation against surviving DIRAC and report outputs. S1 is the balanced primary source. Five Room 2 listening-position cells contain three valid takes; metrics are averaged within receiver before the ten receivers receive equal weight. Strict-valid T20 over octave bands 125 Hz to 8 kHz is the primary comparative decay endpoint, with T30 retained for legacy comparability and sensitivity. Maximum-length sequences were the excitation, every IR embeds CalID=Not Calibrated, software-default environmental fields are excluded, and the separately reported background-noise calibration is unverified. The retailer and exact site are withheld, and the workbook contains no personal data. Raw WAVs and proprietary project documents are not included. The workbook is released under CC BY 4.0 and should be cited with the associated case-study article when available.
