Description

In the present study, we evaluated a novel wound-healing dressing made from a polyurethane-cellulose acetate (PU-CA) scaffold containing plasma rich in growth factors (PRGF). In vivo gene expression analysis was conducted using qRT-PCR, we measured the expression of five key wound-healing genes (VEGF, EGF, FGF2, CD31, and Col3a1) across five experimental groups (control, PU-CA alone, and PU-CA+PRGF with or without added fibroblast cells) on days 3, 7, and 14. Also, histopathological examination was performed and we collected wound biopsies to microscopically assess tissue repair, inflammation, collagen organization, and new skin/hair follicle formation.
