Description

This dataset presents the results of a checklist-based evaluation of public webpages presenting English-language instructions on how to provide help to an adult individual who is unresponsive and not breathing normally. The analysis focused exclusively on textual instructional content. The evaluation involved rating webpage content in terms of the degree to which each checklist item was satisfied, with 2 points (completely satisfied), 1 point (partially satisfied), or 0 points (not satisfied or absent), and noting all instances of superfluous, non-evidence-based advice. The webpages were analysed manually by experts (see sheets MANUAL_35 and MANUAL_52) and automatically via prompting a publicly available generative artificial intelligence chatbot, Copilot (Microsoft, Redmond, Washington, USA) (see sheets PROMPT-B, PROMPT-M1, and PROMPT-M2).
