Experimental Investigation of Antigorite Breakdown at Upper Mantle Conditions and Application to Cold Subduction Zones
Description
This dataset contains the electrical, Raman spectroscopy, and electron microscopy data from the study entitled “Experimental Investigation of Antigorite Breakdown at Upper Mantle Conditions and Application to Cold Subduction Zones” by Pommier and Tauber, GCA. Electrical measurements were conducted using impedance spectroscopy in a multianvil press at pressures up to 8 GPa and temperatures up to 1123 K on natural serpentine. In the spreadsheet, each tab corresponds to a figure in the main manuscript or the supplementary material. Electrical data correspond to tabs labelled Figure3, Figure6, FigureS3, FigureS4, and FigureS10; Raman spectroscopy data to tabs labelled Figure4 and Figure5; and electron microprobe analyses to the tab labelled Figure S8. In each tab, pressure, temperature, travel distance, travel time, and compressional wave velocities are listed for each measurement.
