Description

The file Full_Calculation_Data.xlsx contains the data in the research paper that was taken in a raw state from the output of the SPENVIS tool prior to reaching the Martian surface and then analysed using the Bethe-Bloch formula to calculate the percentage of radiation that is absorbed during its passage through Martian regolith. This data is for the same locations, epochs and sources as for the simulation data and is the initial data taken from the MEREM model used in the simulation result prior to its passage below the surface. The file Full_Simulation_Data.xlsx contains data taken from the SPENVIS MEREM tool of the radiation level of the elevation profile below the surface. This data was taken at solar maximum and minimum to allow for best and worst case scenarios. And was taken at prospective crewed martian mission landing sites.
