Description

This dataset contains survey responses from 592 Chinese vocational college students enrolled in cross-border e-commerce (CBEC) programs. The study investigates how cross-cultural competence influences CBEC performance, and whether this relationship is moderated by motivation and family business ownership, based on the AMO (Ability–Motivation–Opportunity) framework. The data were collected via an online questionnaire using a 7-point Likert scale. The dataset includes variables measuring five dimensions of cross-cultural competence (CBEC expertise, cultural knowledge, English skills, workplace aptitude, and personal attitude), as well as motivation, family business ownership (FBO), and CBEC performance outcomes. This .sav file is intended for use in SPSS. Researchers can replicate or extend the multi-group structural equation modeling (SEM) analyses presented in the associated manuscript. Personal identifiers have been removed to ensure participant anonymity. The data support the manuscript titled “Performance Moderation in Cross-Border E-Commerce under the AMO Framework: Evidence from Chinese College Students.”
