Description

This repository contains the cleaned analytical extract of fatal road-traffic incidents recorded in Medellín, Colombia (2008–2025). The dataset includes 2,762 fatal incidents identified from administrative records and prepared for reproducible spatiotemporal analysis. The compressed folder includes: • Fatal_Road_Traffic.xlsx (cleaned analytical dataset) • run_analysis.R (fully reproducible analysis script) • README.txt (documentation of data structure, preprocessing steps, and analytical workflow) The R script reproduces all descriptive, inferential, and spatial analyses reported in the associated manuscript, including logistic regression (Pedestrian strike vs. Collision), global Moran’s I (499 permutations), and Getis–Ord Gi* hotspot detection on a 500 m grid. All inclusion criteria, exclusion rules, and parameter settings are documented. The raw administrative microdata may be subject to institutional sharing restrictions. The shared dataset complies with applicable data protection requirements.
