Phonocardiogram Signal Dataset Paired with Blood Pressure Measurements
Description
This dataset consists of phonocardiogram (PCG) signal recordings and blood pressure measurements together. The PCG signals capture heart sounds, offering valuable insights into the heart cycle and cardiac function. Paired with blood pressure readings, this dataset enables a deeper understanding of the relationship between heart activity and vascular health. It is suitable for use in machine learning, clinical research, and educational purposes.

The dataset consists of phonocardiogram (PCG) signals, blood pressure readings, and other physical parameters collected from 78 participants under controlled conditions. Data were gathered using a digital stethoscope and an automated blood pressure monitor to ensure accuracy and consistency. PCG signals were recorded at the pulmonary position and segmented into 10-second intervals with a 50% overlap, making them suitable for signal processing and advanced analysis. Blood pressure data include both systolic and diastolic values, alongside physical attributes such as age, weight, height, and gender, offering a detailed physiological profile. This dataset is designed to support diverse applications, such as developing machine learning models, cardiovascular diagnostic tools, and non-invasive blood pressure estimation methods. Accompanying labeled metadata improves usability by enabling efficient feature extraction and signal analysis. It provides researchers with a valuable resource to investigate the correlation between heart sounds, physiological parameters, and physical attributes, fostering innovation in cardiovascular health monitoring and diagnostic techniques.
