Description

This repository contains a subset of point cloud files from our study to facilitate the verification of variable extraction, along with detailed records of François' langurs obtained via supplementary UAV surveys. The uploaded code demonstrates the methodology used to extract three-dimensional habitat structural variables from these raw point clouds. Furthermore, this link provides the complete raw dataset used for statistical analysis, derived from all presence and control quadrats.

Steps to reproduce

Point cloud data for the quadrats were acquired using a DJI Matrice 350 RTK platform equipped with a Zenmuse L1 sensor. The raw point clouds underwent ground point classification, followed by the generation of a Digital Terrain Model (DTM) via Kriging interpolation. This DTM was then used to normalize the raw point cloud data. Subsequently, vegetation variables were extracted from the normalized point clouds, while topographic variables were derived from the DTM, resulting in the raw dataset used for subsequent analysis. In this dataset, the 'presence' column denotes the quadrat status, where 0 represents an absence (control) quadrat and 1 represents a presence (used) quadrat, followed by the extracted habitat variables.
