This database refers to flow resistance measurements performed for rectangular flumes reproducing a fixed bed rill. The experimental flumes were prepared to obtain five different arrangements (smooth arrangement, gravel, clay-loam, sandy-loam, and clay soil). For each arrangement, the experimental runs were performed for five discharges and slopes ranging from 0.1% to 15% (only for the gravel arrangement the slopes range from 0.1% to 9%). Each experimental run was characterized by given values of slope s, discharge Q, and water depth h. The flow discharge was measured by the volumetric technique, while a point gauge placed in the flume axis, 2 m apart from the inlet, and having an accuracy of + 0.1 mm, was used to measure h.
